Empty Shop

February 16, 2010

Empty Shop, Durham.Friday 19th February will see the opening night of the Empty Shop HQ in Durham.

From what I gather the space is a gallery, known as “The Stairwell Gallery” with shows lasting around 3-6 months. A workspace, where workshops and classes can take place. And also artists studios.

On the night we will be treated to; James Adair in “The Stairwell Gallery”, a new exhibition by Toby Lloyd, wall drawings by The Cloud Commission and open studios. The night is also a chance to see how the building will work and how the public can use it and get involved.

The HQ is located on the top two floors of building 35c Framwellgate Bridge, Durham, DH1 4SJ (on the train station side of the bridge) the entrance is round the side of the Ciao Ciao Bakery. Doors open at 6pm and the event will run until 9pm.
